What is Hyperloop?

Hyperloop means ground-based transport in a magnetically levitating capsule that moves in an evacuated tube with minimal air resistance at speeds of up to 1200 km/h. This would connect Hamburg to Munich in 30 minutes. A supersonic flight on the ground, without polluting the atmosphere by using renewable energy on a sustainable basis. The entrepreneur Elon Musk presented this concept in a white paper in August 2013. According to Musk, it will be possible to travel up to 3,000 kilometres much faster and more environmentally friendly than planes and at the same time much cheaper than railway.

Meet the Team

EU HyTeC will enable us to connect European Hyperloop Initiatives in Europe to collectively develop the next generation of transport for Europe. For us bringing together partners from academia and industry is the key for a European Hyperloop solution.
